What is Sweet Home Freedom?
Alabama is a place where hard work, family, and freedom define who we are. But too often, government red tape, excessive regulation, and outdated laws stand between Alabamians and the opportunities they deserve.
Sweet Home Freedom is a movement to remove those barriers — so individuals, families, and communities can prosper. When freedom expands, prosperity follows.
2026 Sweet Home Freedom Tour
Alabama’s future isn’t decided in Montgomery alone — it’s decided in living rooms, church basements, and town halls, one conversation at a time. This fall, AFP-Alabama is hitting the road to bring our priority fights straight to you.
From health care access to tax relief to education freedom, we’re showing up in communities across the state to talk about the issues shaping your life — and to build the kind of grassroots movement that makes legislators listen when session begins.
This isn’t a spectator sport. It’s a movement, and it starts with you.
AFP-AL: making an impact
During the legislative session, we secured 2 big wins for Alabama families and businesses by ending Judicial Deference and reducing burdens on food truck operators.
This spring, we unleashed our grassroots army and knocked thousands of doors for AFP-AL’s endorsed candidates, securing key victories in North and Central Alabama.
Over the summer, we hosted over 500 people at special screenings of the blockbuster hit Young Washington.
Now we’re gearing up for the Sweet Home Freedom Tour, where we’ll bring our biggest policy battles straight to communities across the state.
What we do MATTERS to Alabamians, and we invite you to learn more about who we are and explore how you can take One Small Step to help!
